Would you like to buy a power drill

As Judy stated court went fantastic and we are now parents. Our translator Roman said it was basically a formality and not to worry but obvious we took it quite serious and didn't know 100% until the judge and her crew came back into court to tell us we were parents. We did celebrate a little, nice restaurant. Very very cheap prices. Full meal cost us around $14. Then it was off to the liquor store. We picked up some Bailey's (have been dying for some the past few days) and an excellent bottle of red wine from the Georgian region of Russia. It cost about $8.50 and it was fantastic. We will be bringing some home with us. We went home and had wine, bailey's and coffee, cheese, etc... It was nice to get a little warm glow on. A very very good day.
Can't wait to see the kids again, especially Nikki to see how her cut was healing.

While walking thru Nikopol streets I usually try to blend in by walking fast, eyes straight ahead, somber look on face, etc... Well apparently this form of body language seems to send out a signal to a couple guys that I am a man in desperate need of a power drill because on five separate occasions one or both of these guys have walked up to me and asked me if I want to buy one. They have a brand new looking drill in a duffel bag. It doesn't matter how many times I "Nyet" them they still think I could really use one. I actually considered stopping at a nearby hardware store and purchasing one and fastening it to my belt for all to see. But I'm sure that they would think that I really really really like power drill and am sure to want a spare so I chose against that course of action.

We walked to several stores in Nikopol for Alex's clothing and found nothing. Roman said he would take us to NiproProtrosk a city of about 1 million people and he said we can easily find everything there. We will be taking a cab there and back. About $40 for the day. We have our own cab driver that Roman calls. A really nice guy. It's pretty cool to have him drive us wherever we want. He just sits outside and waits till we are done and then we just pop outside and hop in his cab and he takes us to our next destination. I almost feel like Donald Trump but with about 4 billion less in my bank account. I am considering hiring a full time driver when we get back to Denver. Maybe Davis will volunteer, his car is about the same in size and quality as our cab driver here.
We are looking forward to going to the "big city". There will be lots to do and we can purchase all the things we need for Alex. We obviously came here with no clothes for a boy so we are in semi-scramble mode. We are also looking forward to buying some Lego for Alex. We really need to occupy their time with something they might enjoy doing for long periods of time if they are to spend an entire weekend with us in our tiny apartment. I am regretting not bringing my laptop as we would have been able to have the two of them watch videos of movies they have already seen but in English to see if it helps in their transition to our language. That will be a challenge for us trying to communicate with them once we are on our own and travelling back to Denver. Bye for now.

Cliff
