Thanks for your comments
Judy and I really appreciate them and look forward to reading all of them.
I'll try to answer all your questions in this posting. Each page takes up to 5 minutes to refresh.
Nikki's birthday is June 15, 2002, and Alex's birthday is Oct 1, 1999.
Hi Teri, at this point we cannot leave the grounds. We are not even allowed inside because of a Quarantine rule they have. They can't take the chance that outsiders bring any illnesses into the building, therefore, we have to play in this little 30 x 30 yard playgound with a slide, teeter totter (dangerous contraption), a climbing thing and some other thing which they never use. Also we have a track along the building where we can kick a ball we bought them.
We are told that after court we will be allowed to take them back to our apartment for awhile.
Rory is correct, we are struggling with ideas of "what do we do now". We are allowed to see the kids at 10 till noon and 4 till 6 but we both feel like 2 hours at a time is really stretching their ability to enjoy our company. They do have their orphange pals also. So we come at 10:30 and 4:30. These 90 minute sessions seem to work better.
I could mention our process but even we don't fully understand it. We do know that after court if we are granted custody there is a manditory 10 day wait. But we also have a 5 to 7 day wait before our court hearing. This is what is taking longer. And if we happen to bump up against a weekend then too bad for us. We wait an extra glory filled two more days over a weekend, plus we get to enjoy the added bonus of Easter holidays over here. EXCELLENT, even more time away from home.
So we were told that we may get to leave Ukraine on the 29th. But the way things are going....
Dena, Tara should enjoy playing soccer with Alex. He is quite athletic and loves kicking that ball. I think Tara still would have the edge on him in speed and coordination.
Thanks for all your suggestions for games. We have no idea how we are going to entertain them for another 3 weeks. Bribes will be very important. We finally found some local treats that they seem to enjoy.
Cliff
