Sunday we begin the next big step of our journey, by travelling all nite by train to Nikopol. We'll go directly to the orphanage from the train station, to start the next part of the process. The day will be spent reviewing all the information we can get our hands on about the children's history, parents, medical records, etc... then finally meeting them. What a moment that will be! If all goes well, and all approvals from U.S. Immigration, the authorities here in Ukraine have been reviewed by the NAC, the court date will be set. Best case scenario, we'll be in court next Friday, where the judge will decide if get custody. If yes, then he makes the decision regarding the 10 day wait.... or not. Nikopol seems to be a pretty big town 150,000 people, so internet access won't be a problem.
I just want to say how wonderful it is to get so many emails and comments from my family and friends, it means everything to know that everything back home is normal, that we are in the thoughts and prayers of so many people.

Kiev is such a vibrant, busy, beautiful city... beyond what I ever imagined it would be. The people are so friendly, quick to attempt English & help out in any way. Other note worthy things.... I ordered my first 'Americano' today at the Ukrainian version of Starbucks, the people here are all very fit, all the women are just georgeous ( a single man's paradise), the men are sort of plain looking, and I haven't seen many bald men or people that where glasses. Everyone has a cell phone (we do now too here), the restrooms in practically every restaurant are 'unisex', haven't seen any cats anywhere, vodka is dirt cheap, it's almost impossible to buy kleenex, the weather is pretty nice, tons of trees everywhere, underground tunnels connect major streets & is a big gathering place for young people, vendors, bands....... It's very busy here this wkend, there is a major soccer tournament underway, soccer is huge here.
