It's been a year already

Well, last Saturday April 14 was 1 year ago to the day that we had our court date and was granted full custody of Nikki and Alex. We've been thinking alot about what we went thru back then. It's been nothing but fond memories of the experience. Both Alex and Nikki have progressed to the point where we can hardly even remember them not speaking English. It's like they have been with us forever. Alex loves competing at anything, and is currently enjoying playing for his new soccer team. He has also embraced snowboarding in a big way and is turning into quite the little shredder along with his mom. Both of them started boarding this year. Nikki has her own little posse she hangs with at day care and is constantly being invited to these little tea and birthday parties. Both of them have constant smiles on their faces and laugh at things non stop. Both kids love to ride their bikes around the neighborhood and can't wait for spring/summer to arrive so they can get back into the neighborhood pool.
This summer will be filled with lots of camping trips that they are also looking forward to.
I can't imagine how we could have been blessed any more than we already have been with them.
